The King’s Way Centre

A crowded indoor event with diverse people standing, talking, and waiting in line. There is a food bank booth and a sign with information, with a clothing rack in the background, and a glass door on the side.

Reaching out with care, hope and advice

In response to growing need in the Bridge of Don, we opened the King's Way Centre in September 2025.

There is a 'drop in' service, providing food, clothes, household items and support to people in crisis.

The King's Way Centre is open from 12pm - 2pm every Thursday to welcome people in for a cup of tea, warm space and a chat, as well as opening for other groups through the week. Read more below!

Food and clothing support

A referral is needed from one of our referral agencies so that you can receive food and clothing. Please visit our foodbank website below for details on how to get a referral. If you are unable to get this prior to coming along, you can speak with Aberdeen Citizens Advice at the Centre, who are one of our referrers and will be present to offer their services.

Linens for Life - Wednesday evenings

Linens for Life uses sustainability and creativity to help people in need. The group use unwanted hotel linens, that would otherwise go to landfill, to sew products such as tote bags for our foodbank guests to use for food parcels. This project runs weekly and empowers people to learn new skills whilst having a social and environmental impact.

CAP - Life Skills

CAP Life Skills is a free, friendly, community-based course that helps participants improve financial management, wellbeing, and everyday life skills. We run it in The King’s Way Centre for our foodbank and other service attendees as well as local residents. All are welcome.  The programme runs weekly for a duration of 8 weeks and gives attendees an understanding and support in the different aspects of life that many of us find challenging, eg. financial, energy, health and relationship skills.

Snowdrop Cafe - Wednesday 2-4pm

The Snowdrop Cafe is a drop in that runs weekly for hot drinks, cakes and a chat to give support to people with long-term chronic health conditions. It offers a calm space to foster friendship, wellbeing and care to individuals as well as their family, friends and carers who may also benefit from a listening ear. The cafe also provides activities, such as jigsaws, games and crafts to bring enjoyment and relaxation amongst the guests to help improve emotional and mental wellbeing in difficult circumstances.
